The Team

Keone is a software developer and blockchain researcher. Prior to Monad, he spent eight years at Jump Trading, where he led an HFT team. In 2021, Keone joined Jump’s crypto division and led a team of engineers focused on blockchain research and dapp development.

James is an expert at systems engineering and low-latency optimizations. Prior to Monad, he spent eight years at Jump Trading where he built an ultra-low-latency trading system responsible for tens of billions of notional daily volume in major futures markets.

Eunice is a product and tech leader, with a background in traditional finance and fintech. With a CS degree from MIT, she was previously in trading at BofA Merrill Lynch, and led product teams building enterprise trading systems at Broadway Technology and payments and licensing infra team at Shutterstock.

Ariq is an expert at low-latency optimization and system design. Prior to Monad, he spent ten years at Arista and PMC-Sierra writing low-level firmware, linux kernel drivers, and higher level system code for networking applications, and served as lead maintainer on multiple linux kernel networking drivers for Arista EOS devices.

Aashish is a master hacker and builder. Prior to Monad, he designed and built the entire trading stack at Pattern Research, a leading prop crypto trading firm. He also graduated MIT at the age of 19.

Alex is a skilled software engineer and an expert low-latency developer. He joins us with three years of experience as a core developer at Jump Trading.

Bill is a passionate and accomplished media and marketing executive with experiences across traditional consumer and Web3 focused industries. Most recently, he worked with several successful NFT projects in managing, engaging, and activating their communities.

Michael joins the team having recently graduated with a Masters degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with research in network measurement and security. Past internships include Hudson River Trading, and another quant trading firm.

Vicky joins us following completion of her Masters degree in Computer Science, with research in UAV planning and IoT simulation. Her prior internships include Monad Labs and Hudson River Trading.

Tong joins us from IMC Trading after having graduated with both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science from USC. His past internships include Hudson River Trading and Zillow Group.

Kiernan is a human Swiss army knife, adding to the team a diverse set of skills across business development, marketing, growth, and operations. He joins us most recently from a prominent CEX where he spearheaded several operational and external-facing programs.

Rene is a skilled software engineer with an interest in compilers and systems design. He joins Monad after having made significant contributions as a founding engineer to the trading stack at Pattern Research and graduating from MIT.

Joey is a seasoned and accomplished business professional. He combines strategy and analysis alongside his deep knowledge of the industry to develop strong and synergistic partnerships. Joey joins us from Coinbase Cloud, Bison Trails, and Strategy.

Niall has over 25 years of experience, is a domain expert in C++, and has made thousands of open source contributions to libraries including Boost. He has holds many graduate qualifications across domains, and has multiple in-flight papers for C++ standardization.

Kevin is a talented business professional with experience at the intersection of science, business, and innovation. He joins the team with a keen understanding of the industry coming most recently from CMS Holdings.

Abdul brings to Monad his experience as a business and marketing expert, having lead several growth initiatives within the industry. He joins us most recently from Sei, and previously at Falcon Wallet, and other DAOs and startups.

John joins the team with as seasoned academic with a background in blockchain application design. Having previously completed his PhD in Mathematics from FSU and serving as an Assistant Professor at UNG, he was most recently at Certik with their security and software engineering teams.

Candace is a best-in-class talent professional with over 15 years of experience at early and growth-stage start-ups. She recently joins us from Ambassador Labs and Blockchain.com where she served in several department head roles across People, Talent, and Culture.

Kevin joins the team as a Developer Relations Engineer. He joins us most recently from Solana as a part of their core dev and dev relations teams, and previously at Apple as an Embedded DSP Engineer for their audio team.

Annie is a skilled and detail-oriented operations professional, having previously managed Support Operations for proptech company Latch. Prior to that, she started her career in marketing before leading operations and community initiatives at WeWork.

Kai Jun joins the team as a Solidity software engineer. Most recently at Arrow Markets as a smart contract developer, he also has experience being a first-hand technical founder at Trust Protocol, an infrastructure project designed for web3 social platforms.

Bharath joins us as a recent Computer Science graduate from the University of Waterloo. His past experiences include internships at both enterprise software and startup companies including Oracle, Thumbtack, SAP, and OpenText.

Mussadiq most recently completed a postdoc as a Blockchain Researcher at the University of British Columbia. A seasoned academic with a PhD in Computer Science from LSU, Mussadiq is notably behind Fast-Hotstuff and the Carnot Protocol.

A master at their craft and expert growth professional, cryptunez adds to the team years of experience as a leader in industry marketing. They most recently join us from Delphi Digital.

Annabeth is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience across consulting, strategy, and traditional finance. Most recently at Stripe and Evercore, she holds degrees from MIT, Booth School of Business, and Tsinghua University as a Schwartzman Scholar.

Sailor Nini Moon joins the team as a long-time community-member-turned-community-manager. She brings her passion for building positive energy and creative spaces to the Monad community.

Kevin is a UI/UX Designer and creative frontend developer. His past ventures include being the Lead Designer at Cyfrin, Molekule, successful NFT projects in both the Ethereum and Solana ecosystems and Web2 design agencies.
